It really isn’t easy! When Faraz Hoodbhoy came down to the studio to be interviewed by Jehan Ara for her first episode of In The Line of Wire, we took the opportunity to talk about entreprenuership with him and the P@SHA platform. Here’s the audio podcast of that discussion! Yes, this IS an audio podcast so you won’t see anything on the screen! But please do comment and let us know what you think about the things that Faraz had pointed out? Comment away!

@iFaqeer & S Kamal – Removed! Got rid of the music and uploaded again!
The music was a little loud in places; I could barely hear Faraz at times.
PLEASE TAKE OFF THE BACKGROUND MUSIC FROM PODCAST FOR GOD SAKE !!
There is no harm with small companies or even one man shows. I have run my business starting with FLASH/CSS/XHTML and now branched into Application development with **Ruby on Rails. I’ve pretty much done all the work, from scripting to design and development.
What we need here in Pakistan is the drive and challenge to do GOOD work, and also the knowledge of new trends. I have seen so many companies with a horrible (web presence like tables and stuff, can you imagine??) led by people who are big names in the industry.
The revolution is starting and bigger companies are looking to outsource to good people, especially with the current economic resources.
I would like to see the younger generation pick up the new style of design and development => with design that would be CSS (no tables excuse me Mom!, and development that would be AGILE WEB DEVELOPMENT!
Thing is its all at our fingertips for the taking. You dont need a degree in Rocket Science to be a good developer/designer you just need to have the drive and will to succeed. Of course then you have to be patient too.
Skills arent learned in one day people, they are cultivated with time and ALOT of effort.
Oh and btw nice site or WP Template rather….WP rocks!!
“A good web developer always looks at the page source!”
Best of luck to all the youngings out there!!! Go for it and go for it on your own if you have to.
I was expecting a complete podcast. I guess you will be adding its remaining parts in coming days. But I don’t see that mentioned here. Music is a bit loud while both the guests were speaking.
For the future, I think, it is very encouraging that people with Business & IT schools degrees would be willing to take risks working for IT companies especially new startups.
I would love to hear from you people about stereotypical mindset of graduates willing to work for MNCs and not trying things that might give them something which they would cherish.
