Computer industry demands cut in interest rates: The computer industry has requested the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to bring down interest rates for easy availability of credit to vendors and other categories of businessmen in the IT sector. The Pakistan Computer Association (PCA) convened a meeting to discuss the issues relating to computer industry in view of the current deteriorating economic situation in the country.
The speaker said that better growth of trade and industry would not only provide strong cushion to the economy, but would also create plenty of job opportunities contributing significantly in reducing the unemployment and poverty in the country.
