Pakistan Welcomes More Chinese Telecom Investment: China Mobile Pakistan has announced that the company will invest USD500 million in constructions of networks and infrastructures in Pakistan this year to help its “Zong” brand in the country.
According to China Mobile Pakistan’s COO Zafar Usmani, China Mobile has invested USD1.66 billion in Pakistan, creating 41,700 job opportunities for the country.

Telenor retailer wins Rs 1 millionc: Telenor Pakistan gave away Rs 1 million to the winning retailer of South-I region under its ‘Easyload Millionaire Prize Scheme’. The prize scheme is exclusively made for retailers all over Pakistan who were eligible for the lucky draw by boosting their sale of August 2008 by 10 percent in the following month. Telenor Pakistan’s Regional Director, South-I, Adnan Hassan awarded the grand prize of Rs 1 million to the winning retailer Muhammad Tahir Zaib of Zaib Communications, Karachi.

HEC launches online system for degrees’ attestation: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has decided to facilitate the general public, universities, institutions of higher learning and embassies in Pakistan through the online reservation system for the attestation of degrees of Pakistani students.
The HEC has introduced the most modern online system for degree attestation keeping in view the demands of the masses for the purpose.
For the purpose, the HEC has created a full automated visit address to facilitate the end-users with marking and confirming their reservations, as well as an online reservation desk has also been provided for the end-users to take benefits of the system by logging www.das.hec.gov.pk.
