1 - On 6th of March, 1869: Dmitri Mendeleev presents the first periodic table to the Russian Chemical Society.
2 - British author and computer designer; Adam Osborne was born today in 1939.
3 – This day in 1992; The Michelangelo computer virus begins to affect computers.
4 – On 6th, March, 2003: The SCO Group, formerly Caldera, the current owner of the rights to the Unix operating system, sues IBM for $1 billion for “devaluing” Unix, claiming that IBM employees who signed Non-disclosure agreements worked on the Linux operating system.
5 - The iPhone releases a software development kit on 6th, March, 2008. It enables third party programmers to create new programs for the iPhone.
6 – On 6th, March, 2008; Astronomers at the Large Binocular Telescope release the first images captured using both mirrors. It is now the world’s most powerful optical telescope and has 10 times the resolution of the Hubble Space Telescope.
