3 – This day in 1960: First weather satellite, TIROS 1, launched by the United States.
4 – Today in 2004 – Google introduces its Gmail product to the public.
5 – On April 1st, 2008: United Kingdom mechanical engineers have created an engine that can switch between two-stroke and four-stroke modes, perhaps providing 27% fuel savings.
