Pakistan attractive place to adopt 3G for mobile operators: Saad Waraich, Pakistan and Afghanistan Country Director, Nokia Siemens Networks stated that despite economic recession, Pakistan is an attractive place to adopt 3G for mobile operators as it would support the economic growth of Pakistan and meet the new needs for data services. Waraich further said that the need for a richer communication service in Pakistan is raising the demand for 3G.
SOFTEC 2009 Ended Successfully:
SOFTEC 2009, 14th national and 5th international event on software technology, was held recently at Fast Lahore campus, in which major software houses and professionals from hardware industry participated.
Netsol Technologies, Palmchip, CambridgeDocs, Five Rivers Tech, and Wateen set up their stalls. This event was further supported by Wateen, they were giving their WiMax connection to the students with no extra charges and securities.
ZONG Sub Keh Do Paintings and Essay Contest for kids:
ZONG has launched another exciting and fun-filled activity, essay and painting competition to mark its first year in business. The activity has been launched in three metro cities for school children which is part of ZONG’s month-long celebration under its ‘Sub Keh Do’ (SKD) campaign. The ZONG team will visit more than 100 schools and interact with students in order to encourage them to express their thoughts through paintings and essays.
