PTA, FIA bust illegal gateway exchange: A team of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in collaboration with the FIA officials has busted an illegal international gateway exchange in a residential area of Karachi. The initiate is a part of the pursuance of its efforts against illegal telecom traffic, the PTA detected an illegal setup through the Technical Facility installed to monitor the illegal business of telecom through out the country.

Seminar on market orientation: The Small & Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA) has initiated capacity building of the employees of Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) to convert it into a market-oriented research institute. The SMEDA recently arranged a one-day seminar in the auditorium of PCSIR laboratories at the University Town. A large number of research scientists of the council attended the seminar. Tahir Ali Shah, senior official of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), gave a presentation on market techniques.
