LG and PEL Enters in a Strategic Partnership:
Recently, LG has entered in a strategic partnership with PEL. According to this agreement PEL will become the official distributor of all the products made by LG in Pakistan from JUNE 2009.

Mobilink to celebrate Earth Day:
Mobilink, the country’s market leader in cellular communications and part of Orascom Telecom Holding, has announced nationwide plans to celebrate the up-coming “Earth day” in association with The Citizens Foundation (TCF). Earth Day, celebrated April 22, is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment.

CIO Pakistan Hosts a Round Table on the challenging Technologies for Challenging Times: CIO Pakistan recently hosted a Round Table entitled, “The Balancing Act: Challenging Technologies for Challenging Time”, at Karachi Sheraton Hotel. Chief Guest for the event was Sindh IT Minister, Raza Haroon and CIOs and Vendors included representation from the companies such as Habib Bank Limited, IBA, PRAL, Ufone, Intel, SAP Pakistan, CommTel Systems, Multinet, Unilever, Sindh IT department, ABL, TRG among others.
The event was focused discussion in continuation from the March 31st event of the CIO Year Ahead’09, and both events combined had the objectives of identifying the way forward for Business and IT industry, for the next one year.
