Jamal Ashqain, better known as Jamash, is a great example of someone who lives life by his rules. I wish I could say he was just a prolific photoblogger, but he is so much more than that. The captain of Karachi MetBlogs, a brilliant photographer, blogger and social activist, here’s a chat I had with Jamal at the CIO WebStudio – Please note that this is an audio podcast and there is no video (in case you’re still waiting for something to show up)!

Wow, Thank you for all your warm encouraging comments and thank you Rabia for the interview
I know Jamash’s talent from the very childhood. I am witnessing his pursue for excellence not just in photographs but his writings as well. I see a great individual is emerging who wants to bring a change in humans thought process. I listen the interview of Jamal with rabia garib he was not nervous it is the way he is.
Jamash I pray for you to get all what you wish for!
Great interview Jamal! Hey Rabia how come you left your favourite co-host (i.e. me) out of this? Jamal, you speak so well and your ideas are absolutely wonderful. The only thing that supercedes that are your photographs. They are absolutely amazing. I totally agree that commercial organisations should pay you and give you credit. Come to our IPR Roundtable at the Sheraton on April 30 (10:30 – 1:00) followed by lunch.Good luck with all your initiatives. How about starting urdu blogging on KMB with podcasts in urdu?
hey Jamash, it was my first time to listen to you and any blogger’s interview. It was great to know about you..
How Can we have the previous podcasts?
@Sheneela – Thanks! Jamal is a great writer, a terrific photographer and has some wonderful ideas to share. This is our attempt at giving him more opportunities to share what his vision and perception is… It’s been a pleasure knowing him!
Umm… where was the echo (echo echo echo)? In the interview? We had him trapped in a soundbooth – hardly a place for sound to travel freely!! Yikes!
First time here. Loved it! Bookmark added

The interview was brilliant and very informative. Got to know lots of stuff about Karachi metblogs and jamash himself
The best part about the interview was that it was in urdu. I mean how many time do you get to listen an urdu interview on the net? That i feel was the best part about the entire recording. Oh one observation… there was lots of echo… hope you can do something about that…
