I completely agree with Shahida, in fact I'm quite happy to see so many people out there who have a "can do" attitude, and that is the way change happens. I agree that maximum advocacy is the only solution, unless you actually want to take the minister's job away and own it.

Information Technology, two words, each having its distinct value and importance to each and every individual in the world (and beyond I guess), and definitely more for the governments. I believe that by putting IT in a silo of its own, the people at the state level are putting themselves and their initiatives in silos, because embracing the concept of better information use and ability to make better decision making clearly is an integral part to their own jobs.

The attitude of people as a whole should be open, not restricted. Unfortunately, and I agree, the first thing that comes to mind for everyone is "yeh nahi ho sakta", to start with being completely negative, and at times they start passing derogatory remarks too. But later they see that things are happening much to their discontent initially, and being adopted fully later. Why oppose initially then? Its a matter of using information for self analysis.

I'm an advocate for using Technology as a vital tool to progress. Had it not been for Technology, or any invention or a way of doing things, we'd probably be still in those caves trying to create fire from stones... yes, that means no wheel too.

I strongly agree that we as a nation MUST adapt with changing times, and since we have a vast majority of talented individuals (men and women), we MUST harness this resource to take us forward. It is the Human Resource that is key to any organization, the right minds with the right attitude, not only at the top, but throughout the organization. The same works perfectly well for the whole nation.
Reply
