‘Effective steps required to bring broadband revolution’: Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Dr Mohammed Yaseen has said that broadband services have potential to uplift the socio-economic conditions of the country and these can be utilised to enhance usage of information in different spheres of life. He said this while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Connect Conference 2009 as chief guest, organised at Karachi Expo Centre.
He said that PTA has also formed a Broadband Stakeholders Group to enhance the industry co-ordination for the promotion of broadband services.
BPO Conference 2009 Driving Operational Efficiencies in Lean Times: Pakistan Software Houses Association (PASHA) and Pakistan Software Export Board organized a conference entitled, “Driving Operational Efficiencies in Lean Times”. The BPO Conference takes a look at how financial institutions, telecom companies and other organizations can increase their operational efficiencies during these lean times. It was sponsored by TRG, Ovex Technologies, AbacusConsulting and CATCOS at the Institute of Bankers Pakistan in Karachi. The event was produced by CIO Pakistan, an IDG brand.
