1 – 1927 The Ford Motor Company ceases manufacturing the Ford Model T and begins to retool plants to make Ford Model T, The Ford Model A.

2 – 1958 Vanguard SLV-1 launched for Earth orbit (failed).

3 - 1958 The F-4 Phantom II took its first flight.

4 – 1986 France performs nuclear test at Muruora Island.
