Today is 23rd June, 09 and here’s what happened today in tech…
1 – In 1860 The United States Congress established the Government Printing Office.
2 - In 1868 Christopher Latham Sholes received a patent for an invention he named as ”Type-Writer.”
3 - In 1938 the Civil Aeronautics Act was signed into law, forming the Civil Aeronautics Authority in the United States to centralize commercial and safety regulation of civil air travel.
4 – In 1959 The German born scientist Klaus Fuchs, who had helped develop the U.S. atomic program and then subsequently turned into a Soviet spy, was released from a British prison after serving for 9 years and 4 months.
5 - In 1974 the 1st extraterrestrial message sent from Earth was sent into the space.
