1 - In 1894 Karl Benz of Germany receives U.S. patent for gasoline-driven auto.
2 - In 1936 Initial flight of the Focke-Wulf Fw 61, the first practical helicopter. It is more popularly known as the Fa 61, as it was a research aircraft of the Focke Achgelis company.
3 - In 1978 First dedicated oceanographic satellite, SEASAT 1, launched.
4 – In 1997 Galileo, Ganymede Observations, Orbit 9.
5 – In 1998 Microsoft has released its latest version Windows 98 and one of its key new features is the plug in capability of video cameras, games machines and other plug and play peripherals.
