Samsung wins five European EISA awards: Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, a market leader and innovator in consumer electronics, has won five prestigious 2009-2010 European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) awards, including Green TV, WebMedia TV, Home Theatre Design, Camera Phone and Advanced Compact Camera awards. The EISA awards’ nominations are made after highly equitable voting from editors of top consumer electronics magazines across Europe.

New IT policy within two months: The government would announce new Information Technology Policy within two months, envisaging an active participation of the private sector for bringing about technological revolution in the country.
“The role of the government would be that of a facilitator and promoter of the IT sector and it is considering to bring private sector into the mainstream as the main driving force for growth,” Secretary IT Naquibullah Malik said. Speaking at an open forum on ‘Review of IT and Telecom Policies’ organized by IT Ministry here at a hotel, he said public-private partnership was necessary for enhancing efficiency in different government departments.
