Jehan Ara, President of P@SHA, talks to a company that draws its fanatical powers from a single, specific day. Not Manic Monday or Superb Sunday, neither Freaky Friday nor Thunderous Thursday. Perhaps Tuesday was meant to be one of those uneventful days which is why the company decided to name its operations on it, this threesome dropped by the WebStudio to chat with Jehan Ara.

    Umair…I don’t think Microsoft and GE have shifted 100% of their marketing budgets into digital. GE has a very aggressive digital campaign but it won’t be more than 15-20% at max. Can you share any references for your comment?

    Umair Mohsin Reply:

    @Shehryar,

    It was discussed at the marketing 2.0 conference, held in Karachi, by Chris Schaumann, the Strategist From Microsoft.

    I think he posted his presentation from this conference on his site advertising3.spaces.live.com/. Do go through it.

    Shehryar is right on the money. Digital Marketing and Advertising in the U.S. is still a small percentage of the budgets allocated for advertising. Advertising is a $500 Billion industry. Digital Advertising is just 5% of this total spend. It has a long way to go. But it is a lot more measurable and managers have a better handle on ROI.
