Muslim Pilgrims gets navigation app: California-based navigation software supplier Horizon Navigation has released Hajjmate, a navigation software for Windows Mobile Smartphones specifically designed to assist Muslim tourists traveling to Mecca for the Hajj Pilgrimage. Hajjmate includes unique features to help navigate when traveling to the Muslim holy cities of Mecca and Medina in addition to all of the features of Horizon’s NavMate navigation software for pedestrian or in-car usage.
The retail price of the application is $79.99, it comes loaded on 4GB microSD card and is available through Horizon’s e-shop. “We are also in negotiation with potential distributors in Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, and UAE”, said John Angerman, vice president of business developement at Horizon.

Broadband evolves to multi-play with Huawei: Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, unveiled its SingleMetro platform, which allows operators to upgrade from triple-play to multi-play services smoothly. The SingleMetro platform is the latest enhancement to Huawei’s IPTime (IP Transport Infrastructure for Multi-play Experience) solution, and enables service experience optimization, network capability monetization and TCO (total cost ownership) reduction, said the company.
