1 – In 1939.  1st air conditioned automobile named Packard was exhibited in Chicago, Ill.
2 – In 1957-the 2nd Soviet Earth-satellite was launched.
3 - In 1962 – In a test of the Nike-Hercules air defense missile, Shot Dominic-Tightrope is successfully detonated 69,000 feet above Johnston Island. It would also be the last atmospheric nuclear test conducted by the United States.
4 – In 1984 – Dell Computers is founded as PC’s Limited.
