1 – In 1783. J van North launched an unmanned balloon.
2 - In 1878. 1st White House telephone installed.
3 - In 1913. The Ford Motor Company introduces the first moving assembly line. An assembly line is a manufacturing process in which parts (usually interchangeable parts) are added to a product in a sequential manner using optimally planned logistics to create a finished product much faster than with handcrafting-type methods.
4 - In 1936. Bell Labs tests coaxial cable for TV use.
5 - In 1959. 1st color photograph of Earth from outer space was taken.
6 – In 1967. Queen Elizabeth inaugurates 98-inch (249-cm) Isaac Newton telescope.
7 - In 1982. Dentist Barney B Clark gets 1st artificial heart.
