PTCL introduces ‘Balochistan Package’: In its continued endeavour to provide PTCL customers with new packages and services, the company is all set to provide its valued subscribers from Balochistan with a more customised package called the “Balochistan Package”.
SEVP Commercial Naveed Saeed, while giving details of the package, said this package will enable all PTCL residential customers in the Balochistan province to make unlimited local and NWD (On-Net) calls within the province for a fixed monthly charge of Rs 299 per month. This is an Opt-In Package and customers will have the option of activating this package by calling PTCL helpline 1236, he said, adding the package will be available to subscribers from 1st of December 2009.

ACMA AND ITU Highlight International Training Forum In Melbourne: For the first time, senior representatives from regulatory agencies in Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan and the Republic of Korea will attend and present at this year’s Australian Communications and Media Authority/International Telecommunication Union (ITU) International Training Program.
Chris Chapman, Chairman of the ACMA, and Dr Eun-Ju Kim, Head of the ITU Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, launched the week long program in Melbourne this morning.
International speakers include Mohamed Sharil Tarmizi, Chief Operating Officer of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission; Danrivanto Budhijanto, Commissioner, Indonesian Telecommunications Regulatory Authority; Myoung-Hee Kim, Director for Consumer Protection Division, Consumer Policy & Enforcement Bureau, Korea Communications Commission; and Parvez Iftikhar, CEO of Pakistan’s Universal Service Fund.
