Samsung appoints Teletec, a second distributor in Pakistan: Samsung Mobiles Pakistan, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, has recently appointed “Teletec Enterprises” as its official distributors in Pakistan. Teletec’s network all across Pakistan will enable Samsung to deliver quality products and services in the entire country. Samsung has stated Pakistan as one of the most promising cell phone markets in the world, even highlighted by Steve Han, Managing Director Samsung Electronics “We place great importance on Pakistan as a high potential market.” He added “The appointment of Teletec as Samsung distributor will ensure further enhancements in the sophisticated and swift network of Sales and Service in Pakistan.”

Live internet Stream being provided by the Radio Pakistan Incorporated by Pakistan Broadcast Corporation: The Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) live streaming is now available not only on the Internet as a windows media player mms broadcast but also on the compatible smartphones mainly the Blackberry and Nokia. Solar system seen best to overcome Chitral’s energy woes: Pakistan is facing several crises where one of the biggest is the energy crisis introducing solar system is the best solution to overcome energy crisis in mountainous Chitral were the views of the experts during a day long workshop on sustainable energy solutions. The workshop was jointly organised by Agha Khan Rural Support Programme and International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development. It was disclosed that way back in 2007, CIMOD embarked on a pilot project where piloted technologies mainly metallic stove, solar cookers and solar lamps were made locally available. Experts, including General Manager AKRSP Izhar Ali Hunzai, ICIMOD’s Country representative Dr. Inayatullah, Energy advisor Prof Dr. Jangna Nath Shrestha of CIMOD , Engineer Sardar Ayub, Regional Programme Manager AKRSP and others, stressed upon adopting of solar (alternate) energy to overcome on energy crisis in the district.
