3 - In 1940. FCC hears 1st transmission of FM radio with clear, static-free signal.
4 – In 1940. FM radio is demonstrated to the FCC for the first time.
5 – In 1972. NASA announces development of space shuttle.
6 - In 1985. Discovery moves to launch pad for STS 51-C mission.
