FIA Actions against counterfeit software users: Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) has taken the initiative against the companies using counterfeit software worth in billions of rupees as companies using such software are depriving the government millions of rupees generating through taxation in this regard.
Following the orders of Director, Islamabad Zone Tariq Hanif Joiya, the FIA team in the first wave of counterattack, have raided the factories of Sabro, a famous air-condition manufacturing company and taken numerous high worth computers in possession. Although the chairman Sabro Muhammad Sadiq Chaudhary and other directors giving excuses of showing Microsoft software licenses to the FIA team, fled off the scene and in response, the FIA has started raiding around places to arrest the fleeing owners after filing the case against them.
Deputy Director FIA Mazhar Hussain Shah said that FIA has set up teams to arrest the owners of the company (Sabro Pakistan) and also prepared a list of many companies who are using counterfeit copies of Microsoft. By using illegal copies, these firms are causing a huge loss to the Software manufacturing companies and depriving the government from getting million of rupees in taxation revenue through the purchase of Microsoft products.

German Company to build a 50 Mega Watt Solar Energy Plant: A German Investment Company will build a 50 MW solar energy project as its feasibility report has been prepared. The company’s delegation made a visit to the Investment Board, Pakistan on Wednesday and met with the Chairman Investment Board Pakistan Mr. Saleem H. Manviwala to exchange views over the investment scenario in Pakistan. The German delegation told the chairman about their group’s plan to build the solar energy project and they are preparing the ground survey for Multan and Bhawalpur while the talks over the obtaining the land are underway.
Their step is to bring the German Solar Technology in Pakistan to which the Chairman Investment Board Pakistan Mr. Slaeem H. Mandviwala enlightened them about Pakistan’s investment friendly policies and the opportunities of investment in Pakistan. Not only that, Mr. Mandviwala talked about the government provided facilities of  transferring the total profits to the company’s parent nation from Pakistan. He further assured the delegation that the Government of Pakistan will provide full support to their company’s building of the solar energy project n Pakistan.
