Taal Karisma is a percussive fusion band that is best known for being “madmen in rhythm”. Band creator and tabla player, Alan Simon, came by the WebStudio to talk about the history of the tabla, and the role technology plays in the creation of rich, traditional sounds that originate from Eastern music. Oh – and you also get an unplugged demo of body percussion so you’ll have to wait until the end of the episode!! Cool!
You can join Taal Karisma’s fanpage or Alan’s fanpage on Facebook.
