Ayla Raza is the General Secretary of the APMC, and stopped by the CIO WebStudio with host, Abdullah Haroon, to talk about the things the All Pakistan Music Conference and the things Pakistani classical music has accomplished… all that and more for the simple love of music.

I’m curious to know.. Classical Gaikee is a traditional art form. APMC, for example, is a relatively long standing institution. On the other side, take a look at the success of Coke Studio.. Has the rapid success helped or hurt the traditional art forms of classical music? I don’t mean to say either one is better than the other, but just wondering about how that plays into the tunnel vision of the audience base.
Thanks and good luck!
True… but the culture just doesn’t exist.. It can’t be an easy task to promote music in a place where the people themselves don’t have a palette for it.
